Marilyn Hanging Lavendar Sachet

Materials:
- Half Doll - blue Marilyn, tassel style (half
dolls)
- 12ä of blue forget-me-not ribbon (for sachet)
- 8ä of 4mm blue embroidery ribbon or cord (for hanger)
- 6ä of ribbon trim (for waist)
- 12ä of 6ä wide lace (for skirt)
- 9ä each of 1ä wide silk ribbons (for pink roses)
- 12ä of ¹ä wide silk ribbon (for green bow)
- Tacky glue or E-6000
- Needle and thread Scissors
- 1/3rd cup lavender

Steps:
- Double over a piece of cord or ribbon, tie a double knot in the
end and insert into the head from the base of the half doll. Set aside.
Tip: If the ribbon/cord pulls through the hole, tie a small bead in
the knot of the ribbon.
- Fold sachet ribbon in half and sew up side seams, leaving top open.
- Fill ãtubeä with lavender, to within ¸ ä of top. Stitch top closed.
- Spread glue inside the base of the half doll. Apply more glue to
the top of the lavender sachet, then insert the sachet into half doll
base. Set aside to dry.
- Trim the lace so the width measures 6ä. Join the raw edges of the
lace together and stitch a seam. Stitch around the top of the lace,
slip over the half doll body and gather to fit at the waist. Pull
the gathering tight and secure with stitches.
- Cover gathered top of lace with ribbon trim.
Tip: slightly gather the top edge of the
ribbon so it fits smoothly over the dolls waist.
- Embellish with ribbon flowers, bows etc.
Tip: If using multiple items to embellish
it is a good idea to stitch all these elements to crinoline thus
making one complete embellishing piece that can then be stitched
or glued to the half doll.
